How to build your own snowboard!

I don't know about you, but I've always been fascinated as to what materials go into a board. To be fair when you break it down it all seems pretty complex, wood, fibreglass, siderails, there's no chance in hell that id ever think how it would all go together. On top of that it was always my perception you need some sort of fancy machinery to get the camber profile and what not, but I was proven wrong. After having a bit of a nosey through google and looking at "how to build your own snowboard", the boys from Signal blew me away with this recent every third Thursday edit they did. Using just materials from your local hardware store (B&Q in our case), you can pretty much build your own board for under the cost of $100! Crazy stuff, but so cool to see that it holds up in the end as well. Just goes to show that you don't need the mechanics of a big factory and loads of fancy machinery to get creative with your board. Time to go get me some tools...
